Aware that there are those who discount the possibility of cooperation at near-perfect levels of performance, we will demonstrate this approach using a most appealing and persuasive example -- that of musicians.
You may have wondered how it is that competent musicians can perform with perfection in concert after concert -- presenting pleasing music with astounding variety and contrast. If you are a musician yourself, you are aware of some of the clues, but you may never have thought of the music performance model in any systematic way.
In the Profundities seminars, we will call upon the talents of several musicians to provide a definitive example of the kind of performance that you can expect of your people and your organization. You will be taught based on the "informance" model, mixing information with musical performances, dramatic renditions, and other presentation modes.
Musicians will share with you the salient aspects of their historical performance model. They will provide demonstrations of the musical performance and notational system and will help you to experience the highly productive world that they live in. They will educate as well as perform for you. They will help to dispel misperceptions that are prevalent in many industries -- that people as a rule do not cooperate and that computers tend to hinder, not enhance creativity and cooperation in organizations.
