The Profundities™ seminars will be held in the Salt Lake City area. Participation in the seminars will be by invitation only.
In the seminars, will receive informances and presentations on both the musical performance model and the Methods-Based Management approach. Dr. Tingey and professional musicians will introduce the musical model to you and explain its applicability to the operation of public and private organizations. A recognized professional ensemble will perform various pieces from the concert repertoire, including conversation about their performance experience and the characteristics of musical notation. Other musicians will provide information on this process as well. Professional musicians will guide you through the history of compromise and development which allowed for collaboration and cooperation among musicians and other performers regardless of their particular choice of instruments, musical genre, or style. The professional ensemble will also provide a full performance for conference participants
Information with regard to the Methods-Based Management approach will be interspersed with education on musical performance norms. You will be provided with information on the history of lean/quality methods, how those approaches can be enlivened with new, fluid approaches to computerizing knowledge, and how social networking and organizational development can be improved hand-in-hand.
You will also be given the opportunity to contract for additional education and methods development activity. In such additional sessions, you will receive a program workbook "Dual Control in Music and Business" (see related information by linking here), access to model design software, and copies of Dr. Tingey's recent book, Methods-Based Management. In such additional sessions, you will be given the opportunity to apply your knowledge to your own organizational challenges. In the subsequent sessions, we will divide into separate public and private sessions to discuss applications of the Methods-Based Management approach in each sector. These sessions will be designed to assist you to select a project for your organization and we will work with you to begin to implement the project. The intent is to provide for ongoing education and support in these areas centered around an annual conference of this kind.
